The History

Originally named Depuch Bay by French explorers in 1801 historians attribute the naming of Eagle Bay to Western Australian's first Governor, Captain James Stirling - whilst he was undertaking and extensive survey of the Geographe Bay region - on board his ship "The Eagle" in 1830.

Little did he know then that this uniquely beautiful bay with it's prestine beach and magnificent rocky headlands was destined to become on of Western Australia's most sought after addresses.
